The mission of the TOC Foundation is to provide education and resources that will support the promotion of health and wellness of the musculoskeletal system and the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries.
Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) has a long history of volunteerism and community service in conjunction with their orthopedic medical practice. Their commitment to athletic activities in the communities they serve includes voluntary sports coverage to high school, community college and university athletic programs throughout North Florida.
TOC’s focus on a comprehensive sports medicine program led to the creation of its non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, the TOC Foundation in 2006. The TOC Foundation raises funds through charitable gifts, grant writing and fundraising events in order to provide for education, research and community service projects that involve health, wellness, prevention and rehabilitation of sports injuries.
The TOC Foundation provides educational outreach and ImPACT concussion testing, in partnership with The Concussion Center at TOC, which provides all clinical services. As of December 2013, working in partnership with the organizations listed above, the TOC Foundation has provided educational trainings and administered more than 9,000 ImPACT baseline and post-injury concussion tests with middle school and high school athletes in 41 different public and private schools in 14 counties throughout North Florida and South Georgia.

Concussions can occur during any sport or physical activity in people of all ages. It is recommended you get a baseline test for your own safety, before a concussion occurs.
People who consider themselves at risk for a concussion can now get an ImPACT baseline test by appointment at the TOC office. What is a baseline test? The test is a computer-based assessment and takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Test results are maintained in a secure data bank. With your consent, test results can be provided to your medical provider, coach or athletic trainer.
ImPACT testing at TOC is also available to groups or teams who wish to be tested. Call (850) 877-8174 for an appointment.
The cost is $20 for a baseline ImPACT test, payable to TOC Foundation. Proceeds of this community service benefit the TOC Foundation.
