CLINICAL SUPPORT - CMA, LPN or ATC

Full-time position available for a Certified Medical Assistant, LPN or ATC to work under the direction supervision of an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Position requires strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; strong and effective communication skills; excellent computer skills to be able to work with EMR system.  Other duties include, but not limited to, assisting with the treatment of orthopedic injuries; applying and/or removing a variety of casts and splints and removal of sutures, pins and wires;  returning patient calls; scheduling surgeries and specialized tests.  Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills required, and must be able to work collaboratively as a team member of the clinic staff to provide high quality treatment and efficient service to patients and clinic.

Prior relevant work experience in a medical office, supporting surgeons, physicians or other allied health professionals preferred.  Applicant must be a certified or registered MA, LPN with current Florida license, or Certified Athletic Trainer with current Florida license.

CLINICAL SUPPORT - CMA or LPN - PART-TIME

One part-time position available for a CMA or LPN to work under the direct supervision of an Orthopedic surgeon to provide clinical support working collaboratively with staff to facilitate patient care and efficiency.  Applicant must be able to set priorities; identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently; have strong interpersonal and customer skills; excellent communication and organizational skills for managing workflow, follow-up on patient care and anticipating the needs of the patients and physicians; have strong computer skills to be able to work with EMR system.

The position is designated to work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one of our hand and wrist specialists.

Must be a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant or an LPN with valid state licensure (or eligible).   Prior relevant work experience in a medical office, supporting surgeons, physicians or other allied health professionals preferred.

CLINICAL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR

Full-time position available to supervise daily functions of the clinical support staff, providing guidance in relation to daily activity and operations, working collaboratively with physicians and staff to facilitate patient care and efficiency.  Applicant must be able to set priorities, identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently; have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent communication and organizational skills for managing workflow, follow-up on patient care and anticipating the needs of the patients and physicians; have computer skills to be able to work with EMR and practice management systems.

Requires supervisory work experience in a medical office, supporting surgeons, physicians or other allied health professionals, outpatient clinical setting preferred.  Must possess a clinical related certification such as a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.  LPN’s and ATC’s must also have a valid Florida license (or eligible).

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OR ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSE

Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic has a few excellent opportunities for Physician Assistants or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners to participate in all aspects of the medical care and treatment of orthopedic patients. The first opportunities are office based, non-surgical positions treating orthopedic patients in a clinical setting in our Extended Hours Clinic Monday through Friday, with a potential rotation for Saturday hours. Three to five years of relevant orthopedic experience required.

The second opportunity is for a Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to participate in all aspects of the medical care and treatment of orthopedic patients under the direct supervision of an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in trauma and the treatment of orthopedic injuries sustained from traumatic events. Relevant orthopedic or surgical experience preferred. Orthopedic trauma experience a plus. New graduates may be considered, depending upon background and experience.

The third opportunity is for a Physician Assistant to participate in all aspects of the medical care and treatment of orthopedic patients under the direct supervision of an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in knee surgery and sports medicine. Relevant work experience in orthopedics preferred. New graduates may be considered, depending upon background and experience.

Positions require completion of Physician Assistant Program or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Program, in addition to Florida licensure (or eligible). Salary commensurate with relevant professional experience. Excellent benefits package included.
