We are currently seeking a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to provide care to our orthopedic patients with disabling conditions of limbs and spine, under the direction of and consultation with physicians, by designing and fitting orthopedic devices.
Applicant must have advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and orthotics; a strong sense to precision and attention to detail; the ability to effectively communicate and work with physicians and other health care professionals; and the ability to work as a team member to improve the quality of patient care.
Bachelor’s degree or higher-level postgraduate degree in Orthotic and Prosthetics from an accredited college or university; proof of completion of an NCOPE approved Residency Program; Board certification through the American Board of Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics; and a valid Florida license or eligible.

Full-time opportunity to provide patient care and therapy services as determined by medical direction, including assessing, interpreting, planning, and implementing specialized therapy treatments. Applicant must have the ability to effectively assess and treat patients with appropriate scheduling and planning; the ability to work collaboratively with staff, management, patients, and other allied health professionals; have strong organizational skills, with the ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and multi-task; have strong communication and customer services skills; have effective problem solving skills with the ability to follow through; and the ability to function independently with minimum supervision.
Masters Degree from an occupational therapy accredited education program required. Certified Hand Therapist preferred. Consideration will be given to applicants with orthopedic experience, pursuing certification in hand therapy. Must have a valid Florida license or eligible.
Full-time positions available for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide clinical support, working collaboratively with staff to facilitate patient care and efficiency.
Applicants must be able to set priorities, identify and resolve problems effectively and efficiently; have strong interpersonal and customer service skills; excellent communication and organizational skills for managing workflow; follow-up on patient care and anticipating the needs of the patients and physicians; have strong computer skills to be able to work with EMR system. Additionally, some travel to satellite locations may be required. ATC’s must be available to assist with outreach and game coverage, as needed.
Must be a Registered or Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid Florida license (or eligible), or a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer with a valid Florida license (or eligible). Prior relevant work experience in a medical office, supporting surgeons, physicians or other allied health professionals preferred and helpful.

Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic has an excellent opportunity for Physician Assistants or Advanced Practice Registered Nurses to participate in all aspects of the medical care and treatment of orthopedic patients. These are office based, non-surgical positions treating orthopedic patients in a clinical setting in our Extended Hours Clinic Monday through Friday. Three to five years of relevant post orthopedic experience required.
