Training topics include:
- Concussion Management
- Equipment Fitting
- Heat Illness & Hydration
- “Return to Play” decisions
- Sickle Cell Anemia
- Strength and Fitness Conditioning
The TOC Foundation provides speakers to a wide range of groups, including:
- Athletic Trainers
- PTO Organizations
- School System Administrators
- School Risk Managers
- Parent Groups
- Athletic Booster Groups
The TOC Foundation took a leadership role in establishing the Tallahassee Orthopedic Sports Medicine Advisory Board, which includes all the athletic trainers in Leon and Wakulla counties.
TOC physicians and their staff volunteer medical coverage to football games at all high schools in Leon County. Throughout North Florida, the TOC Foundation provides athletic trainers at schools that cannot afford to have one on staff. The Panhandle Area Education Consortium (PAEC) is a partner in these efforts.
"TOC helps smaller, rural school districts in the Panhandle, providing trainers, free of charge. They help reduce cost as the bridge between an injured athlete and proper treatment.
They provide professional development for all our coaches, help implement ImPACT testing, share their expertise with all our districts and ask for nothing in return. We are truly grateful."
