Acute Knee Injuries
Have you:
- Suffered a sudden onset knee injury involving impact with another player or object?
- Twisted or dislocated the knee?
Bakers Cyst
Do you have :
- Around swelling about the size of a golf ball in the back of the knee?
- Difficulty in bending and straightening the knee?
- A sensation of pressure in the back of the knee and sometimes down into the lower leg?
Hamstring tendon rupture
Have you had:
- A sudden sharp pain in the back of the knee while running?
Do you have :
- Pain in the back of the knee when bending the knee against resistance?
- Pain in the back of the knee when you press in on a tender spot?
- A warm, red, tender spot at the back of the knee ?
Hamstring tendon inflamation
Do you have:
- the above symptoms but the injury has gradually come on along with stiffness the day after exercise?
Posterior cruciate ligament sprain
Do you have:
- Pain and hot swelling on the knee, particularly after an impact to the front of the knee?
- Pain and / or excessive movement with the posterior drawer test ?
- Pain when the posterior cruciate ligament is stressed (knee bent the wrong way)?
- Loss of normal knee function?
