Computer Technician

Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic has an immediate opening for a part- time Computer Technician to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals. Installation of operating systems. Understand technical operating, service or repair manuals. Maintain records, reports, or files.

A+ certification is preferred and prior relevant work experience is required. Established flexible work schedule from 8-5.

EMR Specialist

Responsible for being the subject matter expert for the Electronic Medical Records system of the Practice. Coordinate all matters relating to selecting, contracting, implementing, financing, and training EMR. Required to document all meetings and decisions and report to the EMR selection committee and management. Create and utilize training curriculum to train and instruct the physicians and staff on the use and features of the electronic practice management and electronic medical records software effectively. Documentation of policies, procedures and best practices is required. Required to act as the system support and be heavily involved in the training and knowledge transfer of system subject matter to the staff (Physicians, Mid-Levels, Nurses, Medical Assistants, and other Administrative groups). Serve as the system super user and ensure high level of efficiency in all aspects. Facilitate communication to ensure proper and efficient integrated workflows. Ensure that all users meet and document the “meaningful use” requirements as set forth by the Federal Government to maximize reimbursement. Conducts workflow analysis and recommend changes to maximize efficiency of the EMR. Develop and/or improve upon documentation of processes and training manuals related to electronic medical records and personal health records. Develop or assist in developing work products such as project work plans, functional specification documents, technical assessments, workflow analyses, survey documents, etc. Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point. Provide and manage software support calls in regard to the use of clinical applications.

Minimum 2 years EMR training experience (Primarily focused on Super Users and Providers), Planning Training sessions, Creating Training manuals, Creating Clinical Workflows for EMR interaction. Strong, in-depth knowledge of the health information technology industry. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to take initiative and to work both independently and in a team. Good listening skills, collaborative, team- oriented, and highly-organized. Proactive, self-driven, able to work well in an unstructured environment while meeting all deadlines. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading of material experience in medical billing/medical office procedures.

Associates degree in computer science or equivalent education with at least two years of relevant work experience in support of computer systems, applications, networks, and telecommunications. A+ or other industry certification preferred. At least 2 years of relevant experience in health information technology or a related field (including but not limited to health policy, health systems integration, health IT, electronic medical record implementation, and/or healthcare consulting).

Human Resource Specialist

Immediate opening for Human Resource Specialist to work closely with Human Resource Manager to perform a wide variety of duties related to human resource functions, including recruitment, selection, employment compensation, benefits administration, training, development, and employee relations.  Must have knowledge of HR principles, methods, and practices related to personnel procedures, as well as Federal and State laws, departmental polices and procedures; strong interpersonal, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks within necessary timeframes.  Advanced Word and Excel required.  Must have at least 1-2 years of prior relevant experience in Human Resources.

Medical Assistant/LPN

Full-time position needed to work in our Bainbridge, Georgia satellite location.  Responsible for assisting Physician or other Allied Health Professional with patient exams, schedule surgeries, specialized tests, return patient calls, schedule patient appointments.  Assist with the treatment of orthopedic injuries such as fractures, sprains and strains; apply, adjust, and remove a variety of casts, splints, and bandages; clean and dress wounds; remove sutures, pins, and wires; sterilize all instruments and medical supplies.  Responsible for managing workflow, follow-up on patient care, and anticipating the needs of the patients and Physician. Ability to apply, adjust, and remove all common orthopedic devices.  Must have knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology; effective communication and exceptional interpersonal skills; must be able to work collaboratively as a team member. Must have at least one year of related experience working with patients in a surgical practice or equivalent education.
